Shana is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker licensed in North Carolina, Ohio, and the District of Columbia, specializing in individual, family, clinical supervision, and professional consultation. Shana is also a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Incorporated® Delta Xi Omega Chapter. Shana is a Nationally registered Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapist (TF-CBT), Clinical Board Rostered Clinical Supervisor, Employee Assistance Program Professional and has a Maternal Mental Health Certification.
As a Solution Focused Behavioral Therapist, she enjoys working with those to assist them in discovering and fulfilling their individual strengths, abilities, and talents. With over 16 years’ experience as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, and as a graduate of East Carolina University, her experience includes working with all ages, from children to the elderly in numerous settings including medical centers, mental health units, private practice, youth development and detention centers, schools, community centers and group homes.
Shana uses Evidenced Based Practices and includes techniques from cognitive behavioral, Humanistic, and mindfulness therapies. Her therapeutic approach is to provide support and practical feedback to help individuals effectively address personal life challenges. She integrates complementary methodologies and techniques to offer a highly personalized approach tailored to everyone. With compassion and understanding, she works with everyone to help them build on their strengths and attain the personal growth they are committed to accomplishing.
Shana enjoys working with individuals to assist them in reaching and maintaining their ultimate potential. Additional skills areas include depression and anxiety, mood disturbances, life transition, self-esteem building, stress management, anger management, ADHD, and childhood behavioral disorders, and domestic violence. Shana works to assist individuals in improving and strengthening families, while tackling parenting and co-parenting issues. She has a strong passion for working to address issues concerning Self-Care, Women’s Health issues and Maternal Mental Health. When not working, Shana enjoys cooking, traveling, and spending quality time with family and close friends.
